I heart New York

Yes that's right we finally fulfilled one of my many dreams and went to New York. We didn't just travel there and stay at some touristy hotel in Times Square. No we did NY in New York fashion. We were so blessed to be able to stay with our good friend Bill who has and awesome Apartment (flat) in Brooklyn. And well basically it was amazing. Anywhere we wanted to go we just took a bus from his place to the nearest subway and then went from there. We were amazed at practically everything which is surprising to me because coming from the L.A area I didn't think it would be that much different, but boy I was wrong! It is truly a whole different world over there. To be honest there are too many pictures and too many different stories of our adventures there so I will just post a few... well probably lots but you know what I mean.
First day we arrived we went back to Bill's flat dropped off our luggage and then head out to the Yankee stadium for the Yankees vs. Mets game!!! Amazing. SOLD OUT GAME!!!
Our Subway ride into the city!
On top of the tour bus while it was raining.... so touristy I know!

Bill's local pub/ hang out... there was a live jazz band, so awesome!
Central Park!

Five Year Renewal

Going to the chapel and we're gonna get re-married!
That's right, Micah and I renewed our vows on our five year wedding anniversary. It is something we decided on doing when we first got married. We said  we would like to renew every five years, whether good or bad, sick or well, whatever the season of life, every five years we are renewing.
So we just hit five and boy was it amazing. We were so happy to be able to stay at a resort called Loews Hotel. It is in Henderson, NV right on the lake. About 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and it was a phenomenal place. A really dear friend of mine works there and gave us an incredible rate! She even reserved us a private Cabana poolside on Saturday, all day!
High rolla status yo'
We renewed our vows at the Graceland Chapel and of course, Elvis was our officiant. He serenaded us as as my dad walked me down the aisle.  We exchanged rings and said our I do's, shed some tears then yelled some cheers!
Afterward for our faux reception we all headed out to celebrate at Carluccio's Tivoli Gardens (designed by Liberace himself) It was delish and oh so magical.
With full tummies we changed in the restaurant bathrooms (oh so classy I know) and headed straight for the Vegas strip to party it up a bit, and by party I mean we went to the M&M factory, the coca-cola store and went to the New York, New York Casino for a bit. I know we're animals!
Seriously though we had a blast keeping it low key and then playing craps into the wee hours in our hotel's Casino.
Then Sunday we took all the moms out for a Mother's day breakfast at good ol' IHOP and then Jace and Jan (Micah's parents) had to head out and catch their flight while the rest of us extended our stay at the hotel until 2:00 pm where we just played at the water park in our resort + played an aggressive game of water Volleyball until it was time to head home.
I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable weekend with family and friends! Now to start planning our ten year...

LET'S GO DODGERS, LET'S GO!

Take me out to the Ball game, take me out with the crowd...
That's right we made it to our first game of the season and we kicked some New York butt! It was Dodgers vs. Mets and well what can I say LA ROCKS! The final score 5-1.
We asked our anti-sports friends to come along and surprisingly they were more than willing. They actually both like baseball and were rooting and getting into the game as much as any other fan that has been following them for years. They have definitely crossed over and are now official Californians. If they can root for our states team then it is final they are here to stay.
To top the evening off we ran into an old dear friend and he and his gal hung with us during the game.
Great friends, great game, peanuts, cracker jacks and Dodger Dogs, what more could a girl ask for. This night was a home run!

We all sported our Chucks to the game!
